NEWCOMER COMPETITION “Tile Award” – the winners have been chosen

Competition for architects and interior designers under 35 years of age

Hamburg, 21st of May 2010 – The “Tile Award” competition initiated by the architecture magazine AIT in collaboration with AGROB
BUCHTAL is a creative idea competition on the subject of tiles. It addresses architects and interior designers under 35 years.
The content of the competition task was the design of new, unconventional and sensational interiors with the material tile. Creative and unusual ideas illustrating the varied design possibilities of the material were required.

Architects and interior designers from all over Europe were invited to submit their designs. 51 projects were handed in. The jury selected seven winners from the large number of high-quality
submissions. Additionally, three special mentions were awarded.

During the workshop from 8 – 12 June 2010 in Marrakesh, the winners have the opportunity to present their results and further develop them together with the experts from Deutsche Steinzeug.
